Guys, this Friday , I visited Chandni Chalk again and there is a huge update in AMD processors' price. Now AMD pricing is really seductive. Quotes are from Vedant Infotech. Phenom II 955 @ Rs8450 Phenom II 965 @ Rs10400 Athlon II X4 620 @ Rs 5000 Asus 785G Crossfire M/B @ RS 6700 Corsair VX 450 -@ Rs 3800 Nvidia 9600 gt 1GB - Rs 5305 +- tax Nvidia 9600gt 512MB - Rs 5115 +- tax Biostar TA 790GXBE - Rs 3900
Abacus Peripherals is the Distributor of Biostar in Kolkata. Shops : Arihant, Vedant Infotech ( haven't been to other shops to enquire ab8 Biostars)
i7 860 - still not available in any shop i enquired. They said late November or Early December. Only Transcend 2gb DDR3 1333mhz was available when i went.
Sure ? How much r they ? But it really dosen't make sense now to spend 2k-3k more for 1600 mhz . It wud be wise to buy the cheapest 1 now and buy quality ram when DDR3 prices will be halved.
Does anyone have a recent quote for an external hard drive (320GB USB or 500 GB ext power) ? Looking for Seagate or WD.
Over the years of my experience with Chandni Chowk and the dealers I fully vouch for Arihant and Exoduspc. Both are very trust worthy dealers. Cost of Phenom X2 550 is Rs 5k Cost of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 Memory Kit 2X2Gb is Rs 6800-Rs 7500. The reason I have provided the range is that Exodus can arrange for 6800-6900 while Arihant would get somewhere in that range. Dont know exactly why there is a difference. Last week I went to Chandni to get few parts for my friend and was surprised to know that Asus Crosshair 3 would cost Rs 17k." style="border: 0px; vertical-align: text-bottom; margin: 0px 1px; max-width: 100%; width: 18px; height: 18px; background-image: url(https://www.techenclave.com/community/styles/default/xenforo/xenforo-smilies-sprite.png); background-position: -40px -42px; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat;" /> Does anyone know the price of MSI P55 GD80 Mobo?

All shops quoted around the same range and i was expecting the prices to be around 6k.
I would stay away from APC UPSs. I got the 1500 VA and I'm on my third replacement unit already (6 months). This is for the scrap heap once it goes down after the warranty period.
How can APC 1kva be around 4-4.5k . I asked several times and they said yes it was apc 1kva @ 4-4.5kva. www.deltapage.com is reporting it for 6k . Never in my life have i seen such a huge price difference . Moreover APC is still better than those Microtek , Intex etc They are even worse quality than APC My brother is using Microtek since he wanted to save money but already his unit has been replaced 6 times in 5 months. I was like WTF . Lastly it turned out that last unit's pcb was broken and previous ones voltage stabilizing part ( whatever they call it rheostat or something ) was faulty. He's completely fed up and won't settle for nothing less than an APC even if they cost more. But guys you have to agree that APC's ASS is superb
I have a Microtek I bought *seven* years ago, and it still works fine, with the original battery, still gives me 5-8 minutes of backup with a normal PC, never been opened, never been touched. An APC I bought a few months before the Microtek went to UPS heaven in exactly fifteen months, once the warranty was over. The Microtek was rested for four years while I was in Mumbai, as there was no power problem there at all. It moved cities and houses, and finally has been pressed into service, and does quite well for itself. Small statistical samples prove nothing, but I have a friend who works in Schneider (came to know after) and I'm not buying APC again. Ever. The kind of things they cut corners on is not funny. I do know that in general the quality of peripherals has gone south ever since China appeared on the manufacturing map, but this is a little ridiculous. And after-sales, I kid you not, those guys don't even respond. After threatening action in court I got my third replacement, don't know about the next one. Anyway, we're well off topic, hope this can be cleaned up by Renegade at some point.
